Employee Training

New D&L employees go through a rigorous training program. During the orientation process, employees receive health and safety training including Hazardous Communications and Bloodborne Pathogen Training. They also receive a copy of our training manual. Upon starting work at a job site, employees receive hands on training from qualified trainers. Training includes a review of tools, supplies and equipment, product/chemical usage and standard operating procedures. Supervised hands-on training continues until the employee can work alone efficiently and effectively. For all jobsites, D&L provides Standard Operating Procedures that employees have on their service carts. If an inspection identifies an area of weaknesses, supervisors investigate and provide additional training as necessary. Training for new products introduced at a work site occurs at the time of introduction. Employees required to use forklifts or ride on scrubbers go through training and testing to insure they can operate them safely and effectively. KSS Enterprises has a seminar for training and safety that is mandatory for all employees once per year. D&L supports, through our actions, that training is an ongoing requirement for our employees to meet and exceed customer needs. Annual training hours are 16 to 20 hours per year per employee.
